A Heart Beat
We went to the doctor yesterday and got to hear the baby's heart beat. So neat. (I know neat is not a cool word to use these days, but its the best word I can think of.) I can't believe there is a little person inside of me that is doing its own thing. It took a little while to for the doctor to find the heart beat, but once he did, it was strong. Of course I cried a bit and Rick listened with a big smile on his face. We are happy. Yeah!

Melissa, so fun with the heartbeat! Enjoy it every time. It's nice to get a reminder that you're not just chubby and feeling crappy, there's actually a person growing under your skin! (Can you tell these are my own feelings?) My one consolation prize of being a "high risk" person ia at least 8 untrasounds. It is so fun to see baby. Are you gonna find out the gender in a few weeks?
What the....???!!! Congratulations Mel! I was just thinking about you today and wondering when y'all would go down the long hard road, a road on which you can never turn back, a little road I call CrazyTown Lane...I mean parenthood. And voila! I got on the computer tonight after not blogging or reading blogs for over a month and all my dreams came true! You're having a baby! YIPPEE!! You will love it (and sometimes you will hate it at the same time...weird). Congratulations! Way to go Rick, you know what I'm sayin...Did Angie let you borrow a lil somethin' somethin'?
Okay, enough...when are you due?
