Johnson Family Reunion

Recently we got together with my family for a little reunion. We had tons of fun, talked a lot, ate lots, and didn't take naps.

I'm a mess and I love it!

Luke was eating raspberries the other day and couldn't get enough. He also couldn't get them all in his mouth.

New Due Date

Yesterday we had a doctors appointment. We were so excited to hear the baby's heart beat and find out how far a long I am for sure. Well, after lots of searching by the doctor, he couldn't find a heartbeat. Obviously this made me very nervous. So we waited a long time and then went in for an ultrasound. Finally, we got to see our little (tiny) one's heart beating and little arms and legs moving. The doctor said that I'm not as far along as we thought-only 9 weeks. So my new due date is January 10th!

Suprise!

Because we think Luke is so fun, we decided to have another one. Luke's little brother/sister will be arriving the end of December! We can't wait to find out if more blue or perhaps a little pink is in our future.

Luke Turned One!

I can't believe my little guy is already one year old. He is such a sweet baby/toddler an we are so grateful to have him. Since he was tiny, he has been such an easy baby. He sleeps well, eats WELL, and loves to smile and laugh. The only difficult part has been carrying him around. At our one year check up, he weighed in at 25lbs (70th percentile) and 35 inches (99th + percentile). He also has 10 teeth and a mean bite. He is walking around furniture (not quite on his own), playing peek a boo, and still putting everything in his mouth. He can say mama and sure does like to babble when anyone is on the phone. Whenever he sits down he points his right leg out. He might make a great gymnast!

A few of Luke's favorite things are playing his cazoo (it's pretty cute), splashing in the tub, riding on dad's shoulders, watching kids play, eating ice cream (he is a true Johnson), watching the timer on the microwave, and playing his grandparents. He loves to pull cords out of the wall, even when mom says no. He just smiles and does it anyway.

CHEESE!

Resourceful

About a month ago I made a bottle for Luke, put it on the ottoman, and went to the bathroom. He was sitting on the floor playing and, at the time, not real consistent at pulling himself up. I guess he was hungry because when I came back, he was doing this. The psychologist in me wants to say, "Good problem solving skills, Luke. I like the way you thought that through." Notice the squat.
